The Front Cover Shuffle

It is important to wait until this stage to place the front covers on. This is because they should be put in slightly different places if the bellow pressure is different. You must wind the handle and find the place that the pipe plays best. You should also remember to tune the whistle which I forgot to do!

It's all coming together very well.
I think you would find it easier to hold the fronts on with rubber-bands and then get someone to turn for you. Adjust the cap, and then make a mark at the best position.
Avoid the harmonics...usually an octave higher.
My caps are held on with 'double sided Sellotape ' This means that if necessary they can be removed and re-adjusted.
You don't need to have the pipe in tune to voice it. The tuning of all the pipes has to to be done all in one session ...preferably at the same temperature.
Excellent.

I couldn't get elastic bands around them was the problem, as there all so cose together.

Sellotape would have been a good idea. But there all stuck down tight now! (In desperate times theres always a chisel I suppose.)

No ...in desperate times they do come off but they will split along the card spacers and you will have to make a new one.
PS "reservoir" is my friend Derek in Australia....if you haven't Guessed.
